Went to the local cruise night and when me and teri left we decided to go see a movie (Triple XXX-It was O.K.).Anyway on the way there I see I ricer (fart can,Wing,etc.) So I decide to give him the Lightning Whine.I nail it for about 3 seconds and pull on him.I get to the light to make the left into the theater and what is in my rear view(5-0).
Well he pulls me over in the lot and comes to the window.The norm-Licencse,Reg-Ins-.Then he goes "You know why I pulled you over" and I say "yeah,I was showing off".Well he chuckles a little and says at least your honest.
He let me go with a warning.
I do realize how bad that could have been.Speeding-street racing,etc..It could have been a very long night.
Needless to say after the movie.Teri took the keys from me and she drove home.
Moral of the story-I GOT LUCKY.
I will watch myself in the future.

I have had three warning tickets in the last several years for way excessive speeding. Needless to say, I was thjankful. In all cases, I was just honest with the officer - yes sir, I was in a hurry, no excuses on my part. They are just like everyone else, just tell the truth and don't BS ant more than likely they will cut you a break. Generally in many cases, I think, they are looking for the hard core people on the edge or over the edge, maybe with warrants out on them already. Just mu 0.02.

 

You actually leave your truck in a parking lot while you are watching a 2 hour plus movie? If I did that in this town the only thing that would be left when I came out was the water spot where the a/c had been dripping. I like a good wet spot from time to time, but not like that

 

I wish the cop that pulled me over 2 weeks ago was as nice as the cop you got. The one who pulled me over was a total A-HOLE. I was very polite to the guy, and hes being a REAL *****. He throws me the question "oh looks like mommy and daddy spoiled you with such a nice truck...wonder what they will think of you abusing it...". I just wanted to take out a club and beat the guy. Just goes to show, most cops are nice, but then you have the A-hole's who give the good ones a bad rep. He said he got me on radar, yet, I wasn't allowed to see the radar for myself. If a cop pulls me over for speeding and says he got me on radar, aren't I allowed to view it myself?

Not in Texas, when he pulls you over you are technically under arrest and are supposed to do what they tell you. Though when I took my concealed hand gun course there is a statute in there that allows you to fight an officer if he/she is pulling a rodney king on you. The idea of a female cop beating me with a night stick kinda excites me though hehe

I was in the middle lane of a street, needing to get to the right lane. A POS civic in the right lane with a left turn signal on. So I slow down hoping it will go in front of me and I can get over to the right. Well the stupid kid driving decides he wants to play games. He slows down with me. So I speed up a little bit (still goin speed limit) and he wants to accel. with me. Slow back down again, there the idiot is again right next to me. So I gun it, and jump in front of him. Take a right where I needed to, and bam. The 5-0 had me over on the side of the road within 10 feet of my right turn. I said to the cop "being totally honest... I know I was speeding but the kid on my right thought it would be funny to play games with me". The cop was trying to tell me there wasn't even a car to the right of me, that I was crusing alone at 70mph. Right then, I knew I had no chance of getting a warning or anything...

That was cool of him. I just had the same thing happen to me in NC sort of. I had to go to SC bec of relatives are not doing well, they do not have much longer to live. So I'm on my way back and just driving along not speeding I pass 2 troopes and they turn their heads as I'm passing by (I'm straining my eyes not to look) and down the road a peace I am looking in the rear view they pop out and start hauling, I just felt it, I said to my wife I'm gonna be pulled over she looks and says I don't see anyone, I start to pull over he's right behind lights on etc. He goes to the passenger side says paper work etc and step out of the truck to the rear. AHHHHH ok. I meet up with him and he's sort of small and he grabs his gun and says *^*&*&^&^$#, I said excuse me, he sreams "do you have and guns of knives on you" ahhhhhh no. He asks can I pat you down, sure, you are on video he tells me, whatever. Then he tells me to get into his car. He asks where you coming from etc.....then says does your wife have ID and can I speak with her, go ahead, and leaves me in the car. He comes back and says to me do you know why I pulled you over, I said to be honest I really don't know, well you were driving too close, I said I did not think I was tailgating anyone he says I didn't say you were tailgating I said driving too close, I will give you a warning and save you a $150.00 fine....thanks. Then he hits some switches in the car and says man that is some tricked out truck........do you mind if I go out and check it out with you.........sure, so we are on I95 now BSing about my truck, another trooper pulls up and he's like check out this truck.......we BS he shakes my hand tells me to drive careful etc...... what a waste of an hour. But at least I didn't get a fine.

Is this common practice in NC? I didn't want to get into my rights etc about patting me down and all if I was just driving too close. He says a truck but there was a car in front of me, why mouth off in NC I figured, I got good cred's. I think they first though I was a drug runner, truck sort of looks ghetto pimped I suppose, and then when he found out more about me he changed his tune. First time I was real nervous getting pulled over, I was never told to get out of the vehicle and step to the rear...........

You are supposed to say that the Throttle got stuck for a few seconds . That reminds of a story that my cousin told me who is a county cop. He said he was sitting at a light and this guy goes flying by on a bike doing a wheelie for a pretty long time. My cousin pulls him over and says to him you know why im pulling you over right and hes like yeah. Then my cousin says because that was F*CKING AWESOME hehe. The guy looked at him like what the hell and then my cousin let him go hehe .

 

consider yourself Lucky when I lived in NC many moons ago when you got pulled over you didnot go to the judge... you either payed your find to the cop or went to jail until the fine was paid. I am not sure how things are now.. I was in NC a few months back driving the L home from the dealer I bought it from in VA and I did not see a single cop. INfact I onle saw one cop in 8 states the whole trip home. Not counting the ones at the Arby's I stopped to eat at
