I personally don't think it will ever happen. They have a real UGLY yellow truck already (BOSS 5.4). It just makes me believe they wouldn't make another truck yellow... dunno.

Don't know about Ford making one, but I saw a yellow L this past week beign trailered south/east (either on I40 E or US Hwy 65 S) here in Arkansas. Didn't get a change to take a pic - we were heading the opposite direction and the camera was packed

JDMnAR,

Was it a 99-00 style? I am in Southern Missouri and my girlfriends mom works with this kid and his dad owns a dealership. He supposedly had a yellow L that he ordered from the factory. I thought they did make a FEW( i mean FEW) anyway. But the kid said his dad just sold it for 38K. This was about 1 week ago, maybe you saw it. I will try to see if i can get any pics of it from the kid...

A fellow Lightning owner comes by every now and then to check up on my truck. Anyways he is from Texarkana and on his last visit he told me a friend of his painted his L Yellow. That may be the same truck. No one knows about it really. He doesn't ever get on the boards.....I don't think he knows these L boards even exist.

There's one in Sacramento I saw that's not yellow...but it's like a really light sparkly green. Almost "easter-y" if you catch my drift. I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not.

That's not possible. Ford doesn't make a Yellow L in production. They made one to two back in 1999 at the request of the plant manager. Those were never sold. One used to be on display outside the plant. I believe the other was seen quite often around Dearborn (could've been the same truck in both instances). Do a search and you can find pics.

The Boss 5.4 isn't a Ford produced truck. Sure, it's a F150, but another company takes it, bolts on the effects, adds a new hood and shoots it with the yellow paint. AFAIK, Ford's only yellow F150's are the more mustardy yellow models purchased by municipalities/government.

TYT-LYT,

Think it was an '00, but couldn't swear to it as I didn't get a real good look at it. It did look sharp though!

Totally OT: We were actually in Springfield/Branson this past weekend - so might have crossed paths.
