Uhm BlkBanshee...

You were running 8#'s boost over stock. Stock bottom end and everything? Also, who tuned your chip for a top end tune?

here is alink to running an open road event.Look in the 140 class and you will see a 99 lightning car #67.going down i AVERAGED almost 140 on a 140 taget speed.and that is from a standing start. Then go down further to the class breakdown and you will see the radar speeds.Keep in mind this is racing. We just maitain the speed that we need to to win not look for the big mph.Stan
PS.The reason that I did not do the return leg was a piston could not take the heat and the rubber line on the fuel rail blow off and started a fire.
But should be at the next 2 events thanks to JDM and SVT for helping me get the parts so I can get back together.

I run with the tail gate up plus I raised the back of the hood to let air out the top of the truck and not the bottom BUT you also have to reseal the rear edges of the hood other wise air will go back into the engine compartment, do to the windsheild being a Hi psi area at speed.Stan

Good Lord who was the freak in the 96 Z28 that averaged 187

Or better yet the Grand Prix that averaged 180

Stan what is done to these cars for them to race like that........there has got to be a ***** load of money involved.

We spend alot of $ but there is NO prize money involved in it, its just for the fun of it.As for those 2 vehicles the GP is Tony Stewarts rookie GN car and the Camero is a very tricked out one. There is some cars that show up that fool you.Know of a camero the is CA. legal that runs over 190mph.But I am the fastest of the trucks that show up and place well when put against cars, too.Stan
PS I am going to be one of those freaks next yr.But in a Lighting! But will need a more efficnt blower and some more areo mods.Have the rest of the stuff now.Should be competing in the 165 class by the mid season.

Yup, 8#'s, stock everything. However, I'm cooling the intake charge quite a bit more than stock, so it keeps making power, despite the ridiculous temps the factory supercharger is putting out at that boost level...

I'll be getting Johnny's 10lb lower when I can afford it.

Will they let Deimatt in this event pullin his 4 wheeler trailer and with the 4 wheelers in the bed and on the trailer. I have follewed him a ways at 100. pullin the trailer with the 4 wheelers.
my bed cover starts flappin over 135 so if i'm drivin fast I just get the other truck. without a chip in the 00 lightning it keeps up with my 428cj mustang on top end.
