Finally decided to do the drivers seat cushion fix this weekend. The wire had almost made it to the surface, having cut through the foam like they all do! I decided to glue the foam back together and padded the wire hoping that it won't happen again. Does anyone know if the wire is really needed? The foam should do fine resting on the seat frame like it does. Has anyone just ground the wire off, if so, has the seat done OK? Also, what is the OE part number for just the drivers seat foam. I may want to replace this as I am skeptical about how long my repair will hold up.
