I run a 4# pulley and I am using ngk-tr6 plugs gapped at .042
Working very well for my combination.
You should change out the stock plugs.

You'll be fine with the stock plugs. I recommend changing them though, you'll be glad you did.
If you do, the NGKs are a good improvement, but if you want the ultimate, get the Denso plugs.
When I swapped to NGKs, I still had some mis-firing. On a recommendation from Richard (ICULOKN), I swapped to Densos. I now have no more mis-firing, my truck runs smoother and feels stronger.

They will most likely tell you to change them too.
When I changed from a 2# to a 4# pulley I picked up a high RPM miss and slowed a 1/4 second in the 1/4 mile. Swapped to the Densos(20's) and the miss disappeared. Like it's been said, stock plugs are only good for stock engines.
I drove 8 months on the stock plugs with my 4lber. (I was basically just lazy in getting the new plugs in). It ran fine and even after putting in the TR-6's I haven't noticed any difference...but it gave me piece of mind. So, as long as you aren't beating the hell out of the truck, stock plugs for a little while probably won't hurt it (don't quote me on this!)
