Englishtown results from last night

My mods are JDM Stage I&II w/cat back. 2# pulley.

Tires - F1s Fronts(42psi) Rears(26psi)
Tounneu cover on and hatch closed
Overdrive off - just mentioning it

Did a small burnout to clean the tires off. After pre-staging, I put it in neutral, off the brakes, then back into D.

Left off idle, rolled out then punched it.

First run was on the street side:

Temp - 81
Hum. - 46
Bar. - 29

RT - .700
60' - 2.255
330' - 5.855
1/8 - 8.800
1000' - 11.355
1/4 - 13.519
MPH - 104.23

Other than the temp and not so great 60' time, should I be running quicker with my mods?

Second run was on the track side:

Temp - Wasn't printed. It was about 77?
Hum. - Wasn't printed.
Bar. - Wasn't printed.

RT - .553
60' - 2.106
330' - 5.617
1/8 - 8.517
1000' - 11.042
1/4 - 13.186
MPH - 105.12

Again....with my mods, should I be doing better? If I can knock that 60' time down to 2-flat, think I would hit 12s? I see a lot of people's signatures here with similar, if not the same mods hitting 12.6 - 12.8s. Temps affecting my times that much?

On a side note. Blueballs..who posts here, nice to meet you last night. The .mpg I took of your run came out horrible. If you want a copy, email me and I'll send it to you.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan - what time were you up there last night? I was up from about 7:30 to 9:00, but it was so crowded I couldn't even get 1 run in.

Whats in the stageI & II? I can never remember. Also don't expect much if any from the catback.

As usual E-town was poorly prepped again, from what I was watching. But with better air and 60' times you should definately be in 12's. Just be warned, breaking into the 12's can be very annoying, I have been denied everytime so far @ E-town, whether it is to hot or to crowded to run. I think I may have to make a trip down to Atco since everyone said that is a better track.

Captain,

I was there from opening gate 'till after my last run at about 7:45 - 8:00. only made 2 passes. You're right about the crowd. I knew it would be crowded but that was re-goddamn-diculous. It looked like people were still coming and getting tech'd when we left!

If your truck is silver, I saw you parked outside the staging lanes. There were 3 others as well. 2 Blue (Blueballs who posts here..and I talked to for awhile) , 1 white (FL plates) and a couple of 1st Gens.

As far as my mods, here's the breakdown:

Flip Chip - dual program
Boost Bypass
Cobra Water Pump
Line Mod valve
Electric fan kit w/ AC turnon and manual switch
#2 lower
Old style JDM cat-back
Single Blade TB
Cold air induction kit

I would think these would net me high 12s even with the 2.1 short time? Oh well...may'be next time. May'be I should give Atco a shot as well.

Thanks,

Dan

Any more input? This wasn't really a 'hey..I feel bad about my times..how did I do?" thread. I'm mostly concerned as to whether or not I have a tuning issue. If these times are on par for my mods/track conditions/temps/etc..then fine. But I just want to make sure I don't have a problem that should be looked into.

Thanks again.

Dan

Well even though I already answered

With better air and 60' times you be well into the 12's.
Temp - 81
Hum. - 46
Bar. - 29
Even though it was cool, the humidity was still a little high, and the Bar wasn't that good.

And they say for .1 you knock off your 60', thats .2 in the 1/4. So get your 60' to about 1.9 and that will almost .4 quicker already. I'm right with you on that one, my 60' times suck!

Well, I didn't like your answer. I want to hear that I should be in the 12's all day, everyday!!

Thanks again. At least I know I don't have any major issues with the truck. Guess I'll wait for some better conditions. May'be try Atco as well. Never been there.

See ya'

Wink

You should be in the 12's with that combo, I was running pretty consistent 12.7's with about the same mods on street tires. You need to get your 60' down that is what is killing you.

Less people run on Friday nights.
