Soap and other black L owners

How do you guys take care of your black trucks so well? How do you guys wax em'? Electric orbitlal? BY hand? What do you use? Wax or polish? What brand of wax or polish? Tell all please. Any secrets. Especially stuff like you have to wax it 2 or 3 times for the wicked shine. Or in steps? Whatever. I would appreciate it alot. Most important: What do you guys use to strip all the old wax off during washing? Dish soap?
Thanks, J-mart
P.s. Do you guys use air to blow away all the trapped water? Our L have tons of spots where water seems to get trapped.

I use a leaf blower and a Water Blade to dry mine.

Zaino by hand.

I also keep it out of the weather.

I use the water blade on my daily cars, I'd be afraid to use it on the L.

I had other Q's too. Need some help on those too. I had a buddy and he used to do mine all the time. He's not a buddy anymore. It would look likenew when he was done with it. I used mothers and it looks nowhere as good. Installed by hand. Kind of hazy but i took it all off. Paint is not as smooth.

Wink

For wax i use Wet Cherry with an orbitlal buffer. For in between waxes i use 3M Hand Glaze awesome stuff. Then for days when i dont feel like waxing i use the 3M Gloss Enhancer great stuff. Something i also just did for the first time is the Mother's Clay Bar. I was amazed at the results what a differnece the paint felt like a baby's @$$ hehe. I thought the truck shined before that. After the clay bar it shines even more and looks even more like a mirror . I suggest any product that 3M uses they make awesome stuff. Thanks to Mr. Rob G for that tip .

I was also told by a dealer paint guy that 3m is the best stuff out there. When you are going to wash it right before you wax, what do you use? To strip the wax and some built up residue i mean. Is a product with wax in it needed or just a polish is good enough?

I just wash every week or two... once a month, I give it a coat of Z1. I dust almost every day...
It's always shiny and pretty.

Just use dishsoap to strip off all the crap before you start waxing. Your paint should be squeeky clean (literally) before you wax.
