Talking September 7th at Englishtown RICE vs. US Muscle

i apologize in advance if someone already posted about this event. i haven't been on this site in a while but i just wanted to know if anyone is going to this. i'll be racing my L in it for sure. i was wondering if anyone would want to meet up and drive down together. i'm in Woodbridge, NJ. just thought it'd be fun to pick on the little ricers and outnumber them. if interested let me know! thanks!

Gambino, I've got a 6lb lower, diablo chip, JL air intake, accufab t/b, intercooler fans, 50/50 waterwetter mix in the i/c, MAC exhaust, and a bit more - I just forget stuff once in a while!

However, I did pull off a 12.1@115 last time I ran. It was about 82 degrees that day.... I hope to break into the 11's, once it's cooler, and I can launch the thing... I did manage a 2.1-ish 60-ft on F1's though! Don't know if I'm ready for slicks....

I raced a nice Viper RT/10 that race... a red '94. I beat him, you should have seen the look on his face
His 60ft sucked, though. He had something like a 2.4 60-ft.... Had a nice sounding aftermarket exhaust, though!

GAMBINO;

Just keep me posted man... Menlo Mall would be easy for people to find too.

What do i need besides a helmet and drive shaft loop to run at the track? It's all new to me.

i don't think you need a driveshaft loop unless you hit 12's. bring a helmet, or rent one there. (i'd bring one) that's about it...

few tips on racing there or anywhere else for that matter:

-open the hood in the staging lanes to cool off the engine but do NOT drive it while the hood is open.
-stomp the gas on the last amber light
-if you don't have slicks drive AROUND, NOT THROUGH, the waterbox
-get to your truck BEFORE they call your lanes because chances are you'll get yelled at if you aren't ready in time.
-pull right back into the staging lanes after racing
-do NOT speed in the pits
-wear your seatbelt
-wear pants (or else you can't race)
-keep the windows closed while racing
-begin braking immediately after the finish line
-win

that should just about do it. we can meet at the menlo mall then beforehand. when it gets closer we'll figure out a time and where in the mall we'll meet. it'll be sweet....later all

Krix330cic(NJ) - we'll be there and help you out.

You will definately need a helmet, a motorcycle or dirtbike helmet will do.
I've seen people run in shorts, but I'd recommend pants.
I don't think drive shaft loops are required unless you have slicks.

-stomp the gas on the last amber light
Don't do that! Brake and rev the rpm's up to about 1000rpm's. Leave on the last amber light, but feather the throttle or else your going to squeel and spin down the track. Not good.
