Purple Ice

Has anyone considered using Purple Ice in their IC coolant? Royal Purple claims up to a 20% improved heat transfer and lower temperatures. Seems that if it works in the engine coolant it would improve the IC efficiency as well. Any thoughts?

Yeah, it's pretty much the same as WaterWetter. I'm running 50/50 in my intercooler, and it's ambient.

I will make a feeble attempt

my understanding of how these products work, is that they change the surface tension of the fluid they mix with, whether that be water and coolant or just water alone.. The main reason they work in the radiator is that when your coolant comes in contact with the engine block and other parts, it is so hot that it creates bubbles hence no coolant on the metal and much lower heat transfer. This stuff by changing the surface tension allows the coolant to not bubble and to maintain contact with the hot metal and transfer coolant.
Now that I have said all that... not sure that it would be that useful in the intercooler of the supercharger.. different type of application.. However, maybe someone can shed more light onto this than I.

I run 1/2 bottle in my IC and 1 and 1/2 in my Radiator.
