Exclamation Pics of cracked fog lights?

I have a 2001 and both fog lights are cracked. I talked to my dealer and they will not warrant the lights because they can't determine if it was rocks that caused the cracking, or heat stress. I am almost positive it was heat stress, and I'll try to post some pictures. I was wondering if anyone else had pictures of their cracked fog lights, so I had something to compare to.

I found this picture in the gallery...

Mine look a lot worse than this one.

Thanks,
Dan

Damn that dealer sucks, try another. It took my dealer about 5 mins to get me all new lights.

Question How long do these lights last on avg?

I bought my 02 in june and my passenger side fog light was cracked the next day. Now my driver side is cracked. Thats a shame they dont last any longer than that. My last dodge sport had cyrstal clear fogs and they were fine after 50000 miles. Ford must have a crapy supplier.

So will most dealers warranty the crappy fog lights?

So far the pair on my current truck are okay, but the 99 "L" I had went through several fog lights. None were rock damaged in my opinion, although I finally opted to install lens covers. Once I did that, the dealer was forced to admit all failures were defects, not road debris.

38,000 on my '99, and no problems - just replacement bulbs. I use my foglights quite a bit - dreary days, dawn, dusk, and always at night.

I checked mine before I left the dealer the night I bought my truck. Sad to say, when I got home, I look, and see a nice big spider web in BOTH my foglights. Sucks.

Talking Got Them Fixed!

Well, I took your advice SpankDog, and went to another dealer. They snapped a couple pics with a digital camera, e-mailed them to ford, and within thirty minutes I had two brand new fog lights

A buddy of mines suggested drilling a small sized hole in the back of the foglights..He told me that would help let a lot of heat from inside the housing and air in...That kinda makes sense but then again it doesn't..If water gets inside, BOOOOM!!!

Well I believe that they already have a vent in the top if I'm correct.
