Nitrous ?'s for the Experts

I want a new toy... something to have a little fun with when a ricer pulls up next to a lifted truck. I think Nitrous is the key.

You Lightning guys are too advanced for me with your set-ups... but I couldn't get a response from the normal forums, so I have to ask the experts :> I want to hear about some people who have nitrous on their 5.4's. Nothing Crazy, just a stage one kit or something pretty simple.

What is the best brand? NOS/NX? What is the part # for a 5.4 2wd XLT? I have heard the Wet System is best and that a 75hp punch will be fine on a stock engine. Is this true.

Also, where is the best place to find a system? What price can I expect? I see used ones on Ebay for around $500.

What kind of performance increases can I expect? Will it throw me back in my seat?

How easy is it to install? I have little engine experience except for the addition of my intake. Is this a home jobber or should I take it somewhere to get it installed? Do I need an aftermarket chip?

Well I would tell you to only buy a NX wet kit, just get the EFI kit and thats all you need to know. But also buy the gen X 2 kit for you truck and that will give you all the little extra's to add to your nitrous kit.

You can spray about a 75 shot or maybe more on the stock 5.4 in the regular F150's. You really won't notice it that much cause your truck is a heavy truck and a 75 shot in it is like a 25 shot in a vette or cobra.

I would expect your truck to pick up 3 to 5 tenths in the 1/4 from a nitrous kit. when properly tuned.

If you want to kick some major a$$ buy a L motor and then drop it into your truck!!!

What is the gen X 2 kit? Is this an add-on to the NX kit? I do not see it on their Website. Forgive the ignorance.
