I have the Ford wrap around lo-profile bug shield on my truck and I can't even imagine how it could mess up the grill. Did you buy the shield from the Ford parts dept.? Not that the aftermarket ones aren't good but I can't invent anything bad to say about the ford part. Sorry. Maybe a pic or better description of what has happened will get you some help.

Running out to check it now.............................
Ok I'm back. My shield doesn't make contact and shows no sign of ever making contact with my grill. My shield has the ford logo on the shield above the passanger headlight. Maybe we have different style shields. Goodluck with finding the solution to this one.

Yes, I'd report it to the dealer. Did they install it for you? I'm stomped on how it could damage the grill. I had my dealer install mine for me and its flawless. They didn't charge me anything but thats prolly because they were replacing the powersteering pump at the time. See what they say.

I have an aftermarket bug deflector on mine, I did have three points where it was contacting the grill, I put small pieces of foam tape at the contact points to insulate it & it seems to be working out fine.
