Had the ARE on for over 2 years now. Like it and would buy one again. The single handle open/close and lock was the part that sold me since I keep my golf clubs in the back.

do they make one a little more "low profile" than that?

seems a little "fat" in the middle..

is the snug top about the lowest profile out?

The "fatness" in the middle is a design attribute for ARE lids, its supposed to match

the hood of our trucks. I purchased ARE for the single handle lock, and its looks. It is also easy to take off/on if you have high cargo.

Thats not bad, is it possible to purchase these lids online and install yourself or is it something that has to be purchased at an "automotive specialist"?

ARE doesn't sell online. You must purchase through an authorized local distributer.

Suggested retail for an installed electric lock is $149. Most dealers will sell the kit for $89. It is simple to install. The lock shroud just covers the locking bars and lock. It looks okay. The new covers come with all black locking bars instead of the gold ones.
I don't have the cover installed right now or I could take a pic. I have the topper on. sorry.

Hmm, may be time to order some new parts for my lid. I was thinking of selling it and getting an advance fold cover with cervini's wing, but I'm not sure yet.

Ron, what kind of wax do you use? Your truck looks GREAT.
