Lightning Went Bye-Bye

Well after a five month wait for the truck and twentysix months and thirtyfour thousand miles of driving I sent her out to pasture. What a fun ride, probably the best bang for the buck car/truck I have ever owned. I'm sure I will miss her, but things change and she had to go. I hope you guys have as good of luck with yours as I did with mine, never in the shop, even the I/C stayed full. The replacement is a '02 Dark Shadow Gray 4X4 Supercab Lariat. I was able to steal a few parts off the "L" to put on the new one, clear corners, '01 3rd brake light, and the Mustang gas filler door. I still have JDM's chip, I wonder if he can reburn it for the new one, I'll have to call. Well like I said it's been fun and I'll keep an eye on you guys, I'm still kind of in the "family". Good Luck to all!

It is a fun little truck, but I can understand it does not fit everybodies needs.

Good luck with the new one.

Sorry to hear that. At least you didn't have to get rid of it and move to something more "economical" I want pics of the new truck.

Thumbs up

KGM: Good luck with your new truck. Stick your foot in the water every once in a while.

Wow, it sux to kindof know that someone may buy your old L and then develop the dreaded intercooler leak. I'm curious to know why you never had the upgrade done? Not a hark, just a "?".

BfB...I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it. Anyway here's a few pics of the new truck. You don't see to many one tone Lariats. Sure is gutless after climbing out of the Lightning, but it has more room and you sure can see over the traffic.
