HELP!!! foglight mod

I just did the foglight mod...filed the switch down then I sliced the brown and black/white together. It worked fine, then few hours later I get back in my truck and my parking and headlights come on-no fogs! I check the fuses and I blew a 5 amp and replaced it and now the fogs work but what is weird is not when i turn my parking lights on my headlights come on also, I try the foglights with the parking and nothing...turn it to the heads and I have foglights. Do I have the right wires spliced? I have a 2001. Please help me, thanks!

either you spliced the wrong wires,, or it is a bad splice,, i've got this done to my truck, yet I do forget which wires it was,,, been about 6 months now.

did you mod the fogs to turn on durring auto headlamp settings as well?? If so does this work?

I got it all worked out now. It was a combo of two things...First one was a bad splice and the other was I put a 10 amp in the 5 amp fuse, that was the weird one, but its all good now and Im ready to roll again!

If you ever tow with the foglight mod done, you will blow a 20 amp fuse in the underhood power distr. box. Ask me how I know.
