I am posting this here, b/c the chip forum should be renamed the SuperChip forum

I was looking for where any diablo chip owners got thier chip at.

I have seen a few that said at the dealer.

I am only about 3 hours from Anderson Ford in Clinton, IL if that is a prefered place it is an easy one.

I don't have an L, but just looking for feedback on it.

I have not had any dealings with Johnny Lightning Performance, but lots of people seem to get chips from him also.

I think that PDQ Performance is the largest distributor for Diablo. You might want to check them out. Also, Mike Troyer a while back said he was a dealer for them although as can be seen from other threads he never recommends Diablo. The irony is the fastest L's all seem to perfer Diablo over Superchips. You decide.

I got my Diablo from www.rpmoutlet.com. It cost $229.00. easy install and good performance.

 

JL, you are right... a pic is worth a thousand words... but I am of the mind that an A/F dyno pic is worth a thousand words and the track slip 999...

but that is not fair as that is a built motor running 20+ psi...

Out of context it could be implied that your chip would run 11 sec. 1/4s...

JL's chips will run 11's on stock internals with a stock blower. I have personally went 11.6's with a JLP tuned Diablo with a stock blower, stock internals and NO nitrous. I expect to go 11.3's with my JLP tuned Diablo, stock blower, no nitrous, strengthened internals and a little head work, when the cool weather arrives

 

Thanx Totaled... I have seen Soooooooo many trucks claim to have X amount of H.P. & TRQ! And expect to get some outrageous Times at the track. and watched the truck go No Where even close! I have nothing against Dyno's (Trust Me) But where i come from a 1/4 Mile Time Slips Speaks Alot more than a Dyno sheet! Like i said i'm not down playing (dyno's) There are a very important (tool) to help in the (tuning) area. however there is alot more knowledge needed to get these truck go as fast as we have, then just putting it on a dyno.(trust Me) Ask any of the (main) tuners! Trust me i don't want this to turn into a "tuner" war! Show me the Time Slip Not the Dyno Slip! JL

 

Take Johnnys word hes right. My truck has JL's chip filter kit and pulley and has gone 12.5@105.9 in the heat safely. And im sure there is alot more there with cooler weather. Dynos are cool but mean nothing unless the truck proves itself at the track. Just take a look around you, his trucks are rollin.
