My cam is bad for night shots.

I like the LED's in the door handles... good idea. Can I steal it? Where do you get the LEDs in green, and how do you power them?

Thanks!

Green leds from radio shack you most likely wont find a 5mm led with 12V so you will need a resistor and i got power from the power window illumination wire the leds are only on when the lights are.
Everything from Radioshack®
I used
2 green leds
2 Resistors (ill find the rating out later and post)
2 5mm led holders (little plastic retainer clips)
2 inline solderless splice connectors
2 o style solerless connectors for the grounds
and quite a bit of heat shrink tubing so nothing would short out i used heat shrink on each leg of the led and over the resistor.

This can get very aggrivating since i broke some clips but i like it and would do it all over again.

Hope this helps anything else i can help with let me know

Did you ever find out the resistor ratings I need to get?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure the value that i used was 470 - ohm Resistor 1/2 watt - 5% tolerance however i would use something a little higher because for some reason at that resistance they last for about a month.

I also thought of another way to do this maybe easier cut into the handle cup *the piece that goes into the door that ou have to pull out to get the panel off* and get a piece of plastic *clear* and cover the hole then get an led and silicone it to the back side of the plastic it will give a nice glow too

Thats how it is done from factory in most vehichles so you might even be able to cut the hole and order the *clear* plastic pieces from a dealer.

Good luck with this project i was very happy with the out come yet very bummed out when they burned out because it is a pain in the @$$ to get them in there.

I think its perfect!!!!

I hate it when people have switches all over there dash andd console! I like it smooth and unnoticable.

I did LED's for my nitrous setup so I know when they are on cause the switches are under the dash and you can't see them. kinda like you did with your setup almost.

Speaking of hating switches i finally found what i was looking for a year ago its a transmitter switch you place the reciever in line as a switch to turn on and off then use the alarm style transmitter to turn it on or off and you never see the switch so it helps in keeping it as close to factory as possible (in the event that you would want to sell and get a new one) there will be no visible holes.

Just thought i would let you all know
