I called my dealer that I have to take my L in to for service on consitant blown fuses for the intrument lights. I asked what they thought about filters and chips. The guy on the phone said alot of people put K&N filters in and its not a problem. He then said a chip will void the warranty. I asked him if it has a chip and I bring it in for a something other then an engine problem, would it be covered under warranty and he said yes. So I am in like a grey zone on how they feel about mods.

My chip is out but my question is should I leave my PSP filter and fast air system in when I bring it and see what happens or should I completely put it back to stock?

 

?? I donno? But If it were me I'd say to remove it and play it safe if under 30k miles.

If over 30k miles your close to the end anyway so I'd just leave it as is.

Thats what I'm thinking. Just because some jerk who answers the phone told me it was cool, I dont want to get jammed by the service writer. Its coming out.

and what they do in person are 2 different things
i could hear it now "we never said that" or "i dont know
who u talked to on the phone".
