http://www.tonneau-covers.info/pace-...eau_covers.htm

What do you think of these retractable ones?? 600.00?? Has anyone had one..

Do they fit the L's??

Any comments good or bad?? I am really thinking about this...Just wondering if anyone has tried them.

Thanks

Matt

Although I am not a L owner, I do know that they fit a L. One thing I've seen though is that they tend to fade/oxidize somewhat. Granted the ones I've seen have been on work trucks. Proberly some regular cleaning and waxing would take care of it. They sure are more practicle in some cases than the gas lift ones.

I go the scoop on these.

The manual roll ups ar 589.00 75 to install

the electric are 1100.00 75.00 to install..the place can also get me a bed rug installed for 340.00..The electrics roll ups can be stopped at any point and are also remote controlled and can be locked

The electrics are tougher and a 250lb man can walk across them

the manuals hold 180lbs evenly..They are talking about snow and ice weight..

Say that they dont fade..

I may try this and let you all know..Can someone give me a ccard number??

LOL

Matt

Mr. Speedin Bob has one of those I believe...and he seems to really like it.

Personally I am not a fan of the looks..but if you are gunna need to put things in the bed, that are taller than the cover a lot, you sure can't beat the conveniance.

From what I saw of the Pace-Edwards on my father in laws truck, I was not impressed. The "padded polymer" looked like a piece of cheap vinyl glued to the aluminum frame, and it was fading after less than a year on his truck. However, I have read good things about their electric model - but have yet to see one installed on anything. I know of two other manufacturers of the retractable hard covers that you might want to look at: Roll N Lock and Retrax. I went with a Retrax, and have been very satisfied.

I had an electric one on my last truck and I loved it.If you use your bed alot then this is the way to go.The best part of the electric one was when you put something in the bed higher then the top you could just roll the top right up to the item and lock it in place.

I went with a hard top this time because I do not really use the bed alot and I liked the look better.

Sorry Mr. Saleen, another very happy Retrax owner here.

Pace Edwards are OK but you can't Zaino the cover.

Yes it is. Here are some better pics of it closed.

Another view.

This one is a better view. You can see how the cover shines see the reflection of my friends f150 in the background on it.
