Ran me a HD...MOTORCYCLE

I have no idea what he had in the thing..It wasnt a cruiser but a custom of some sort.

He had his chick on the back and was next to me and jumped infront of me on the next stoplight.

I thought it was rude so got up next to him on the next one. We slowly rolled off and he hit it!!

I hit my stock 02 and we were even to the next light. Then..I knew he was gonna try it so I was ready for him..He Jumped the throttle and I slammed it at about 10mph...The roar of the harley was getting distant

At the next light we stopped..I looked over when he pulled up and he was smiling but wouldnt look over..His chick was laughing at him..

Then I nailed him again and he turned off..

It was an 80 cubic incher but I didnt get to ask him if he modded it. I have riden harleys before and believe me the RPMs he was turning he was trying

So I thought I would let you all know anaother facet of transportation just got owned..

But uhh..I aint trying a crotch rocket!! LOL

Matt

Don't try a Harley V-Rod either...

Don't try that with a V-Rod either, they are very quick. The Harley big twins are not designed for quick shifts & drag racing, they are fun to ride though.

Wink

I'll run your stock 02 with my bagger, she is only 95 C.I.
I have had it over 120 a few times on the street and it gets there pretty quick, I have had it up to 142 on the Dyno though.

Only bad thing about them is the brakes but its only because you fly then need to stop well that and the weight.

The 502HP models are the more exclusive of the Boss's... they sell a 350 version also... smaller engine... but believe me, still faster than just about anything out there... I live 10 minutes from a shop where they build/sell em... I got on the 502 and at 6'4" 325lbs, could BARELY get the thing off it's kick stand to be verticle... I would hate to loose balance on one at a stop light... mortals can't hold those things up!

Straight pipes on that thing... they guy in the shop started it up, with me on, and twisted the handle and the WHOLE bike torqued side ways on me and almost pushed the bike over on me... he has two, (big 502 and small 350) he estimates the 502's 0 to 100 time is easily user 4 seconds... he said the biggest problem is trying to accelerate hard at any speed under 80, cus the tire will break loose and burn up in no time at all...

The bike is a two speed automatic... totally crazy... I want one, but can't afford the $35k base for the 350 model... some of the bike they had in the shop were worth over $80k with mods and the paint jobs... some people spend over 15k in paint and appearance mods on these bikes... They sure look bad *** though... huge radiator in the front...

ho-hum... L is safer though, I imagine.

I'm just waitin to see the big *** Harley 100th anniversary party up here next year It's gonna be absolutely crazy around here. I can't quite remember how many miles long the parade of cycles was, but it was definately a phenomenal amount.

My parents own Harleys (both have Road Kings) and my neighbor used to be the VP of Sales for Titan (prior to the owners of the company running them into the ground) and I've ridden all kinds of Harleys (the Road Kings, a Fat Boy, a Dyna Wide Glide, a Low Rider, a built Sportster 883 and a Titan Gecko which was their top-of-the-line bike). The Gecko had some scoot for a Harley-based bike but most of the Harleys I have ridden are relatively slow and handle for crap. I much prefer the finer Japanese machinery and have had crotch rockets since I was 19. Being that I'm now 34 and have still never gotten over my fondness for all things fast, my wife was kind enough to buy me a Hayabusa for my birthday. Now, as Beefcake (a belated welcome to the 'Busa owners club) and Kerrdogg will attest, a bike that pulls 150-155 hp at the back wheels bone stock and 170-175 with only a pipe, programmer, air filter and air box mod is a whole different ballgame. I looked at the V-Rods and they look decent but with dealers asking $25K for a bike that lists at $18K is rediculous. With the difference in what my 'Busa cost, I'll slap on an MCExpress turbo (good for about 340-380 at the back wheel depending on boost) and laugh at any Harley-based bike currently made. I'll agree that Harleys are decent (any bike is relatively quick all things considered) but if you want a true e-ticket ride on two wheels than Suzuki is the only game in town!

You should have asked her if she wanted a ride.

I raced a Vespa at my buddies last weekend. It was very close until I remembered to start my truck. By that point (5 seconds) he had about 10 scooter lengths on me. I think I caught him at about the 100' mark. Don't mess with the Boss-Vespa though.....I've heard they are nearing the 30HP mark

I have seen a turbo Hayabusa at the local drag strip here. Edgewater in Cincinnati, Oh my. I bet out on the highway its even more insane, cause from a dead stop, it just doesn't get traction. maybe a big slick and wheelie bars, but the cool thing is that it looks so stock, but has ungodly power. My friends and I were just checking out all the bikes, when one of them noticed the boost gauge, and we all Zoomed in for a closer look. then saw the turbo and air filter bulging out of the fairing behind the front wheel, Incredible.

I almost bought a 502 Boss Hoss, but as I got to know more and more of the owners, I was finding out that their tranny's weren't up to the task of handling 502 hp/570 tq. Quite a few owners of both the small and big block bikes are blowing up their trannys. I test drove a 350 hp small block, and it was really cool, lots of satisfying power. However, it doesn't have the 'kick' and viciousness of a modern superbike. I know a guy who owns a 502, and yes, it's one stout mother! The bike torques to the right big time when you rev it in neutral. He can do burnouts at will. But, it's anyones' guess when his tranny will fail. At $44,000 out the door, I don't want to invest in a questionable machine. Nothing more embarassing than showing off this big bike and then sitting on the side of the road with a smoking tranny.

Last year, they raced a 502 against a ZX12 Ninja, and the Ninja beat it in all the races they did (half mile drags, roll ons). Interestingly, the Boss guys toasted four trannys during their practice sessions! Not a good sign!

Anyway, I decided to go with a tried and true Harley Softail Fat Boy instead, and I'll just wait until the V8 bike market figures itself out...
