Recognition for the L

Mens Journal magazine did a write up of the 25 Greatest Cars. Heres the top 10:

10- 1990 Mazda Miata
9- 1965 Jaguar E-type
8- 1972 BMW 2002tii
7-1955 Citroen DS19
6-1963-1967 Corvette Stingray
5- 1994 McLaren F1
4-1945 *****'s Jeep CJ-2A
3- 1962-1964 Ferrari 250 GTO
2- 1932 Ford 18 V-8
1- 1965-1998

But down in the corner of one of the pages, is a little sidebar titled "The New Classics" and they list:

1- Audi TT
2- BMW 7-Series
3-Mini Cooper S
4- Toyota PRius
5- Ford SVT F-150 Lightning

Thought it was pretty cool, that the L got in there.

I saw that mag the other day at the store. I paged through it, and set it down dissappointed that the L didn't even make an honorable mention. I didn't read the sidebars I guess. Don't know how I missed it.

They mentioned it due to its fuel economy! 52 mpg utilizing a gas engine and an electric motor.

I assume the 65-98 refers to a mustang since it got ugly in 99...of course it started in 64...hmm..

The prius and the miata on those lists...that is just an embarasment.

LOL! How many people have purchased a classic vehicle because it got great gas mileage? It's all about looks and performance, though exclusivity sure doesn't hurt.
