Some people are just stupied

I was up at this car show aka. Street Racing, there was a twin turbo Supra pushing about 800hp's. He ran up againts a bone stock Black Lightning, from the get go the L had him, the Supra had only Street Tires, and he burned rubber for about a 1/4 mile, didnt catch up to the L till about after a mile an a half.

My Cobra was the same way, going down the road at 7500 RPM side ways, I hope all you people selling the L and buying 03 Cobra's know what your in for. THEY SUCK FOR TRACTION, and are clearly life threatening on wet surfaces. You'll be driving along minding your own business, give it a little gas and all of a sudden 360 before you know what happen. No I never wrecked mine, I'm too cool for that

UMM....I don't know how to put this. BfB kind of hinted on it. Just exactly what distance do you "street race"? The standard distance in regulated drag racing is 1/4 mile and in some areas they have 1/8th mile tracks.

Maybe the Supra cracked the welds on his intake and his floor-board blew out

As a Supra owner, as well as L, I'd

have to say Sup driver--couldn't-- or maybe was taking a nap! Sounds more like it was a NA Supra! BS somewhere! Has to be single turbo to make 800hp--no twin turbo will!

Twin Turbo 832hp at the crank

TRD brought a Japanse spec Supra by the local Toyota dealer where my buddy works as a tech and we got to take it for a spin. It has the Japanese turbos, 40 thou off the head, titanium valves, intercooler and a bunch of computer work. I have heard you can get these mods done in the US for $5000USD

This is what I was told by the TRD rep and I can tell you it was an absolute rocket sled to be in. I didn't get to drive it but my buddy is a drag race fanatic and knows how to go through the gears pretty good and we could lay rubber at will.
