Big thanks to brooks (aka Clonetek)!!!!

Well I did my plugs and oil, and air filter and other crap today and while I was out there I adjusted my TPS like your article said. Now I adjusted it back about a year ago with RobG and it was right around .987, but to my suprise some how it went up to a whopping 1.198 when I checked it today!!! So I got you pins out and wow that made the job so much easier then trying to fuss with a razor blade and tape and crap.

So I got it right at .993 which was a real PITA!! that TPS is so sensative you have to act like a 35 year old man married to the queen of PMS! One wrong move and I was back to where I started or lower.

Anyway, when babolt told you how to do this, did he mention how much of a difference this would make on the truck? As far as the A/F is concered. And is it better to be really really close to 1 like .999. Just curious how much of an effect this TPS has on it.

On another note, when I first plugged it all in and got ready to test it I turned my fuke meter on and the thing started at 1.6 and slowly went down and down and down to like nothing! I sat there for 10 minutes and then it dawned on me, I've never changed the batteries in this thing since I bought it. So thats what it was, HEHEHEHEEHHEHE. I got all scared for a second there.

i don't know if it will "give" you anything as far as horsepower.. it just needs to be within certain parameters.
i asked him what it should be set at when i swapped to a single bore throttle body.. and even thought it wasn't one of his, he still helped me out.. what a guy!
