Question How may vendors can the Lightning community support?

When I first started following the boards for Lightnings, there were three or four core vendors. Three of those were Tuner owned and operated. There were several, let's say, satellite vendors that provided services to Lightnings as well as many other vehicles.

I've noticed lately there's an outbreak of new places to shop. I like this; but, also wonder if there is enough business to go around. Will this hurt the tuner based vendors or will we see how much we've been overpaying for our "fixes"? I don't know; but, we'll soon find out. Will the weak will be rooted out; or, will we find that there's room for even more competition out there? All the main vendors seem to be overworked and lagging behind on deliveries. This could free up some time for them; but, also cut into their bottom line.

Here is the beginning of a list of all the tuners I know of. I will most definitely miss some; so, feel free to add to the list.

The specialized:

Raceparts Brokerage Inc.

There are more, I just don't know them all.

I remember when I first got my 99 there was only 1 tuner. More and more Lightning on the road, so why not. Some of the new tuners deal with more than just Lightnings

Swanson Performance should be considered one of the old ones.

I can still remember the good old days when Sal was busy but had a good plan, Superchips via Mike always pinged the first time around on California gas (no matter how many times you explained the chip would be in California), and Danny was in the process of moving shops, so getting in touch with him was the West Coast version of Sal - it was possible if you were patient and didn't get in a tizzy over something that was silly and meaningless (getting a chip ASAP, etc).

Where would I go first or or who would I recommend first? Sal, Danny and Stan have always been honorable in business, cordial and friendly outside of business, especially Stan. I also have been helped by Jim on a couple occasions (for free) and I doubt he would remember, but that doesn't matter.

I'll leave it at that.

Odin's Wrath,
I think it's a matter of demand as much as anything else.It seems there are as many unhappy customers as there are happy ones.If nothing else,it gives everyone more options if they are looking for it.

support all of them

Although most of my stuff is from JDM, and they've been great, i try to support all the guys, i know what's it's like to be in buisness, especially a small buisness. I've also purchased from PSP and LFP. Both were great to deal with.

Thumbs up

thanks for all the links you guys...

I'm still looking for someone who'd go beyond Lightning and Cobra tuning and make something special for the Vics...

I knew I missed a few. Thanks for filling in the holes. Here are a couple more that don't base their business around the Lightning; but, they have been around for a while.
