Talking 5.9 r/t owner brain damaged?

What is up with the 5.9 r/t owners? You gotta know you're gonna be whopped by an L.

Youngster pulls up beside me at a set of lights in his new r/t. Gives me a smile and nods his head for a go around. Poor bugger didn't know what happened. Last I saw of him was in my rear view with a frown on his face and his girlfriend laughing at him.

One of these days they'll figure it out. L's each r/t's for snacks.

Nice kill! I beat up on an R/T that was supercharged... He was following me big time, trying to catch a light. Finally a red light. Boy, was he excited. I thought a heard a whirring from under the hood, but what the hell, I'd give it a try. The light turned green and I had a truck by 40. By 70 he was like 4 trucks behind. We pulled over and talked. Nice guy. He was sure suprised. He said he ran a 13.8 at the track and thought he was all that.

I'm sure the guy in the viper will think the same thing when he blows your doors off. The r/t owner is proud of his ride just like you are of yours. Not everybody can afford a L.

Forgive me for I have sinned...

I test drove an R/T before buying the L.

But really, R/T's can be made to go fast, just like anything else. I'm always careful around them.

Why are they gay. I know 2 or three viper owners and none of them are gay or bash ppl for car tastes.

yea, some car guys, especially the 2 guys that drive the vipers in town can be really gay... they bought the car so they could show it off and think its the best car ever... one is 35, still lives with his rents, and has the stupid signs " look but dont touch"... pisses me off... he goes out and cruises and revs up on the cams, birds, and stangs, but wont put it on the line. ive seen him get owned by a 5.0 LX... AND HE NEVER LIVED IT DOWN... he skipped 2nd AND 4th... "on porpose" (yea right)... some guys buy cars so they can pretend it has *****, but cant handle it. and some car owners can be some real dumbasses, like there is a red supra turbo in town and he took out his system because "it was weighing it down and making the car slower" ITS RWD AND HE CANT HANDLE THE CAR WHEN HE PUTS HIS FOOT IN IT... when he had the system, he actually ran pretty good, but he took it out and took out the carpet, back seat, and all the other "non esential" stuff, but he just drives it around, he doesnt road race or anythin... also, the other viper owner i have respect for, he bought a RT10 and that beast has *****... he knows how to race, and tuned his car up to peak, so he actually has respect for his work, and he doesnt race much anymore, but throw cash down and he'll run, although his car does spray, he doesnt use the NAWS, its mostly there for show and if he needs it for any reason its there (its like a 200 shot i think) another thing... one of my friends bought a R/T 5.9 and thinks its the best... he doesnt know how to drive worth crap and hes lucky he hasnt run up to a L... its black with red decals and he has a red ON THE BEACH sticker on the back, duals, and a filter, but he cant drive it, so he gets spanked by lil hondas that run 18s... o well, its great fun...

EXPY FOR SALE, ROUND 30k, link in my sig

13.8 for an RT is about average if he had blower only.
Some do better.

Such as the copied quote below...

just on the blower/exhaust/headers/and injectors,(no heads/cam) was able to get a 12.49@109 out of it.
shifting at about 5800, and going through the traps about 5700.

below is his results with heads/cam added, he should be in the 11's when the weather cools up.

edit..or this 12.06 but time numbers are blurred.

r/t's

i've seen dozens of them at the track, yet so see one drop below a 14.5. This young kit has a real sweet looking s10 with a cervini hood, effects, flareside bed. Has a vortec blower on it. Real nice looking truck, nice kid. Said he's had some tuning troubles with the blower kit, still trying to straighten it out.

I'm not into the brand bashing thing, but I do like to have fun. I had a fun moment that turned scary this weekend. I came across an aquaintance in his R/T Saturday on 1604. I paced him to 40, then walked him by 2 or 3 carlengths to 80. I had to drive real smooth, since I had a refrigerator laid down in the back. I dropped back to the speed limit, and he just grinned and gave me a thumbs up as he passed. Then some ******** in his (I think) Cavalier with a wing and fartpipe finally caught up with us, and weaved between us. He almost lost it as he jerked it back into the slow lane almost taking off my front drivers side fender. He must have been racing us, but we didn't know...his ricer flyby almost turned nasty.
