Mod Board for Shows
Mod Board for Shows
Something I finished and plotted today. Mounted it to adhesive foam core and gonna but in a black metal frame. Will display is in my bed on a small black metal tripod. Gonna be sweet!
Looks great! I'm always for ideas for shows, so if ya don't mind telling me, how did ya make it? Print it on a printer, or did you have it made? What size is it? Thanks for any help

I'm a graphic designer, so I made it myself using my work plotter (750C+ Epson Plotter-36" wide) and really good glossy paper that cost 250 a roll. We have foam core sheets at work that are like a big sticker, you just peel of the paper and mount your paper to it, no mess and perfect each time. Works gotta be good for somthing. The File was made using Photoshop and Freehand.
If a normal person wants this done you will have to pay for design time and then the plotting, it's not cheap! Will cost at least a few hundred to have on done right.

cool deal, i did this a while ago. Im also a graphic designer. I did mine with the program signlab and then cut it on a plotter using chrome and red vinyl decals. Then put it on a piece of plexi glass covered in black vinyl. Looks fuggin badass. Set up similar to yours but mine has a picture of my lightning airbrushed on it done by a friend i work with who is a badass artist. ill try to post a pic when i get a chance. I dunno about the couple hundred dollar thing though, your place must charge a **** load for artwork or something, id figure no more that 50-75 for a nice sign on plexi. i just dont have the time to do it. we are swamped. Looks nice though.
Let me Clarify something, I am a Graphic Designer for a Planning/Engineering Firm.
I do high end marketing work. I don't work at a printshop, I printed this on my work equiptment, Harley 356 if your gonna design the art yourself why would I want to print it?
And thanks for all the 1999.5 jokes, there realllly funny! Why I post anymore I don't know?
Oh, and good art work and design time cost money, it's not free!

Tampa it looks nice. The only thing I might suggest is a different picture of your truck. It took me 3 or 4 times of looking at the picture to realize it was actually a front shot of a Lightning with glowing red light, and not the rear end shot of an import.
Oh, and don't let the 99.5 thing bug you. You are right. Lightnings are half year models. 99 models ARE designated 99.5s by Ford.

One Bad L, you said you guys make signs, but are swamped right now. What time of year aren't you swamped, or don't ya know. I'd definately be interested in a sign, but i can wait until next summer if you'd be up to it, it doesn't matter to me. Let me know, joshv_85@yahoo.com
thanks
