Talking New Lightning Owner!

Picked up my new Black Lightning today. Love to hear that supercharger whine! Can't get the smile off my face. I read a post about disconnecting the boost dump. Can anyone tell me what improvement that makes and does it cause the check engine light to come on?

Thumbs up

Welcome WarEagle--I guess you're one of them Auburn fellars?

I have had mine disconnected since right after I picked it up; about 32,000 miles ago. No SES light.

It saves you embarrassment if you do a burnout in preperation for a drag by keeping the PCM from dumping the boost. It takes several seconds for it to build back up and you're left with egg on your face..........sitting there, dead in the water.

Here is a link with a pic:

If you wern't a Southener, I'd of told you to use the "Search" feature

Thanks

Thanks Lightningrod!

Yup, I'm 5th generation Floridian. Great Great grand dad fought in the Florida Volunteers in the War of Northern Agression. Lost an arm at Gettysburg. I'll unplug it and see how it does. You would probably enjoy Grisham's new book The Summons. Talks alot about Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Dammitboy! I'm a 6th generation Floridian ! My folks were from Sneads, Chatahoochee, Tallahassee, and Greensboro, Florida. My mom and dad moved to Miami, where I was born. My wife and I moved up here after going thru the third riot in Miami. I surely miss those ocean breezes and Spanish moss.

"War of Northern Aggression" is correct. Most people(including most Southeners) don't know that Florida was the second state to secede; right behind South Carolina. It's the only Southern state that never surrendered too.

Good luck with your new plaything.

Congrats.
A couple things you need to know.

1-Visa or Mastercard
2-16 digit #
3-Experation date

That about covers it.
