Metco upper pulley?
Metco upper pulley?
I got the metco upper pulley on my truck and the way this pulley sits on the shaft of the blower sucks!
When you set the hub flush with the shaft it sits back to far and the belt rides on the edge of the other pulley. Which in turns cuts into the belt and screws it all up!
are there any upper pulley's designed just for the L out there. I think this one is made for the GTP's and thats what screwing it up.

Mine fits perfectly Joe. Over a year now and no wear problems. Just changed to the gatorback and the old belt looked new. Others have had the same problem as you though. Sorry to hear about it.
I just got back from eric's house and he new what was wrong with it!!!!
I guess when I swapped out blowers before I put the hub on backwards and thats what was wrong with it. i still can't believe I did that, but hey stupid stuff happens to all of us once and awhile.
Just as a note to anyone else installing a metco upper pulley. Make sure the words on the hub are facing outside towards the front of the truck. I had no way of knowing that and you would think its the other way with the round part looking like it would tuck inside the snout nicely, but thats the wrong way.
So words out!
Thanks Mr. Pulley!!!! (AKA crued, eric peterson!)
