Typically when the new model year comes around... how long after do the Lightnings come out?

If the new trucks are here in October, will the L's be out in a month or two?

I"m not talking the next Gen, but the 2003's.

traditionally, the lightnings have been released in February-March

but this will vary depending on where in the country you are located.

I left a deposit on an '03 in June. the dealer was advised that production was originally scheduled to begin 2/03, but had been pulled ahead to 11/02. I stopped by the dealer last weekend and was told the vehicle was ordered 7/29. He also had paperwork showing production on the '03 L's would begin during the first week of November.
Maybe wishful thinking, but I'm hoping it arrives before the end of November

are you saying that you ordered the 03 L and Ford accepted the order? What paperwork did you get or see to verify that the order was placed and accepted. I ask because I too want a 03 L and tried to get the dealership order me one in July. I was told that Ford is not accepting 03 orders yet but when the do the truck will be ordered. I have a X plan pin # that expires in December so I need to verify the order. Any help will be appreciated.

 

I have the same problem as 03Lightning. Every dealer I have talked to says they will recieve the paperwork to order the 03 L in a couple weeks. I can't place an order for one yet. It also seems they are making less Ls for 03. NJ, i think the dealer may be pulling your leg...if not let us know.

 

I called SVT. They said production starts Nov 1. 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. They said with the orders they already have if you order one now you won't see it til Jan. I bought an 02 today, couldn't wait that long.
