Magnuson-Moss Act

How come nobody ever talks about the Magnuson-Moss Act when they get denied on warranty work? Maybe nobody knows about it, I'm not sure. Here is a link where you can read what it means. "Under the Magnuson-Moss Act, aftermarket equipment which improves performance does not void a vehicle manufacturer’s original warranty, unless the warranty clearly and conspicuously states that aftermarket equipment voids the warranty. Most states have warranty statutes, as well. Which provide further protections for vehicle owners.
" Sorry if this was too long to read but I think its pretty important.

it has been discussed.

More than likely and depending on what went wrong, the cost of the repair(s) would cost pretty much the same as what it would take to bring a suit against the dealer. JMHO.

Find a mod friendly dealer or take your chances.

Ok cool, that makes sense too. I just remember when i was looking for a diesel they talk about it ALL the time and its on most of the diesel performance parts websites and eveything, but i never see it anywhere around gas powered car/truck sites. I wonder if its cause a diesel is so much more expensive? Oh well thanks

This has been discussed many times. The main thing is how deep are your pockets. Ford and Ford dealerships have lawyers on retainers. Do you?

Remember you are guilty till proven innocent.... or is it the other way around??!!

Most of the time if its a real problem and you threaten with a lawsuit they will settle rather than go to court.
