I don't know if you were already aware of this or not, but you can go the Virginia DMV website and do use the Create-a-Plate service that lets you pick any one of the hundreds of styles of plates available and then type in your own desired personalized message. the site will immediately tell you if the plate has already been taken or if it is available you can reserve it right then and there.

there are some exceptions however, for example you can't do illegal speed limits???
I wanted to get 140 MPH but they wouldn't allow it.
but if you want it, speeds like 35 MPH are ok with DMV to put on your plate, maybe you could call it a sleeper?

In Florida there was a guy that had one of the "Save the Manatee" plates... and on it he had "Eat Me"
Believe it or not, they had so many complaints about it that they RECALLED the plate!!!
