16x12s for Hoosier Quick Times ?
So far I have used them 3 different times (10 runs total). All in the hot and humid weather. My worst was a 1.94(spun) and my best is a 1.81.I am averaging 1.85s.I am still playing with the pressures and burnout length.I feel I can get to consistent high 1.7s with practice.
I know guys are going to say they run these times on F1s.Well I do not own 18 inch wheels(mine are 20s).So this was my choice. Also I have found 60 fts to be overall more consistent.
I figure that I can do smokey burnouts and not have to worry about no tread on my street tires.(I do enough of them on the street anyway).
Well that is my 2 cents.
VINNIE
BTW- They do look BADAZZ also

16x12's are to wide....
The 16x10's are perfect for the Tires. The best 60 foot I got was a 1.64 on them with 14.5psi in them. Dont be scared to take them low, they will do fine. I had the 6lber, stock stall convertor, and a 2deg negative pinion angle to get 1.6x's 60 foots...

I use the 28x14.5-16 Hoosier quick time pro's. My track requires DOT tires to run on wed or fridays. I borrowed a set of the 28x10-16 slicks when I raced a few weeks ago, and they blow the quick time pro's away.
So if you don't have to get the DOT's get the real hoosier slicks.

How are your guy's clutch packs holding up in the rear end using slicks?
also i would love to have that look and high sidewall tire for street use, big and wide in the rear and say maybe 70's on the front, would look great and i dont need 140 mph blast down the highway,
Do the make a 16 inch wheel that will go over the brakes? and do they make a 15 or 16 wheel , and high sidewall tire that would have the same rollout as the stock l setup?=18's and f-1's.

i like that look big in rear, much better than the stock look, just wish they would make a street /combo=15/or 16 inchers, with the same stock roll out?
