Do a Chip, Boost By-pass, + Crankcase Breather

Boost By-pass + Breather "are not Mod's", "they're necessities"

Start to finish in well less than an hour, should be 1/2 hour

 

I forgot about the Boost By-pass($3), + Crankcase Breather ($20)

K&n filter $30 (no hp gain but it can be cleaned)

well the first is a freebee-open up the air box and 30 bucks for a K&N is 3 days of lunch money and 2 days of not mashing it to the floor. The one more expensive mod to go with first is a chip, but I would wait, if possible, to get a pulley and anything else that can affect the engine tune and get them all at once-including the chip. That way it gets programmed for the mods.

 

Not one person mentioned FUZZY DICE..I am dissapointed!!

160 thermostat for $22 is worth 8hp. Best HP for $ ratio. With that and a cold air I could smoke the tires from anywhere < 25MPH on a smooth road (low traction) until it shifted into 2nd at 40MPH. You didn't say how much that you wanted to spend. Or what you wanted to accomplish. Either way the above is a great 1st mod.

If you can only afford one mod, don't do any. It's worse than Lay's potato chips.
