A strange new noise...
My truck has been making a new noise. It happened once before but went away so I didn't worry about it.
This only seems to occur when it is -hot- outside. The last 3 weeks have been usually 90+ (with 75% humidity) here in NJ.
At around 700rpm and 1000pm my truck seems to have something that hits a harmonic and it makes a low-pitched whine noise. It is really loud, not something quiet. I can only here it at those RPM's, higher and maybe the engine is too lound for any others.
But if the RPMs are off by 100 (sat 900 or 600) then it is perfectly quiet.
One of the easiest ways for me to get it to occur is when its hot out, start up the truck, let it go to idle, then turn on the AC, this drops the RPMs to that 700 range and "wooooooooooo" the sound starts.
Any ideas?
