Stroking the engine is a waste of time and money. The 5.4 already has a 4.17 inch stroke. The problem is the bore at 3.55 inches is very small. If you take the bores out to 3.7 by sleaving the block you can get nearly 360ci. That what I would save my money for.

I know it can be done its just a matter of money. The guy who did the machine work on my engine said he could do it but it would be kinda spendy. I would like to hear what some of the tunners have to say. This type of mod would be real benificial to someone who had Cobra heads cause the larger bore would unshroud the valves increasing the airflow.

Modmax has a kit with 9.1:1 compression and 350 ci with no bore modification.

There is no stroker kit just yet for our motors. ModMax has stroker cranks being made, but they've been in process since spring. When they are finally done, you will be able to have 354 ci. But that comes with a hefty price tag as the cranks are going to be around $2300 alone.

What exaclty can you "get" for less? Only one company is making a stroker 5.4 crank, and they aren't done yet. If you have defnite info otherwise, give me an e-mail about it at powersurgeperf@aol.com. I'd be interested in hearing what you can get, especially since you are close by.

My shop is sunrise engine installation on sunrise hwy in islip terrace. It's actually my pops shop but i've worked their on and off for 15 yrs. Anyway we get parts at tremendous discounts. My L is just my daily driver. But I'd like to meet up with you some time because i'm interested in purchasing one of your chips.

We are in the process of getting a stroker motor done. It is 3.70 bore (sleeved) with a 4.500 stroke, 358ci. The crank is the pricey part. (and, no, they are not available yet, only on order) Should have the heads done in a couple of weeks (4v Navi's).

We'll be testing this motor with both the Works140, now, and the Works201, early next year.

Computer estimates show some hefty HP with this setup.

Once we've made sure the setup is right, we'll be offering a complete motor with supercharger and all. They'll be pricey, but they'll be fast.
