Check out what I caught on EBAY. This has to be one of the dorkiest looking "things" available. Hrmph. Electric supercharger... whatever. thought it would be worth a laugh

Oh No! its a fake. It looks to me like a 12v blower. Looks just like the one thats in my boat. The real one is at http://www.electricsupercharger.com/ and im not sure its much better though. It draws like 50 amps.

Some of the junk that sells on EBay is proof to Mr. Barnum's wisdom that "there's a sucker born every minute". What a genius

One of my favorite games... find the most asinine item on ebay, find out who's bidding on it... then look to see what they purchased in the past.

One bidder is a proud recipient of this fine item:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1842034948

Another bidder bought this previously:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1738248452

(I may have to get one of those for my truck... really)

And a third purchased one of these... ok, not as bad as the earlier ones:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1845163409

See what kind of people they're marketing towards?

Hey those work great.

I got one on a "problem" supply duct from my furnace to my office.

It really did help with getting the cold air to my office which was hot all the time before I installed it.

I will say mine was for a 6" duct, and cost much less, and I think has a slightly higher CFM rating oh and was all "chrome" look ( try galv. duct pipe ).

There truely is an a$$ for every seat.

DB, that was exactly what I was thinking when I saw this post, I was going to quote Mr Barnum, but you beat me to it.

Can't you buy those things in stores for like under $30. I can think of some good uses for them, just not on a vehicle

I guess I'll have to start selling some junk on ebay to see what kind of money I can make.

Probably the funniest thing I sold on ebay, was a stock '93 Lightning GT-40 upper intake. It had 180K miles, and the EGR tube had busted out. So, I removed it and replaced it with a bread box upper. When removing it, the studs to the EGR spacer had sheared off, and we couldn't get them off (JJ of JJ's SVT was doing all the work in his shop). So, bleah.

I bought the new intake for $200, not a bad deal. I put the old intake on ebay, expecting maybe $50 for it, as brand new ones were running around $250 on eBay at the time. I had full info and pics. All mileage, pics of buildup in the runners, and that the EGR spacer was stuck to it. Wouldn't you know that that thing sold for $232.50? By someone with a Cobra... so I made all my money back from buying the new intake, and then some.

Amazing how eBay works sometimes.
