Talking Mod poll

Here's the deal: I haven't spent any money in a few weeks and have the overwhelming urge to do something else to my truck. It's hard to resist not opening 4 windows as I type this so I can have any of the vendors ready to ship me something at a moment's notice.

Someone on the HALO board made a post about getting a 5#er. That sounds MIGHTY enticing right about now. I thought about the interchangable variety, but don't wanna have to mess with a cage, press, etc. I'd be ditching the 4#er (maybe even 3#er..it's been too long to remember) I have now and upgrading. Are the couple of extra pounds of boost worth the couple hundred bucks? My little head is doing the thinking right now and he's saying "YOU BET YOUR *** IT IS!" Y'all agree with my own personal Mini-Me?

If I wind up going with the pulley, should I upgrade the TR6s to Densos? EDIT: Just got done looking at Sal's website. I saw the NGK BR7s and the Denso IT24s...they look like they'd best fit my application. Question is, will the Densos foul like the NGKs? Will the 5#er do any serious damage to the SC if I use my truck as a (primarily) daily driver? I don't give much of a rat's *** about comfort or anything...I just wanna go fast. I want to get the pulley and get it installed when I do my Silver Bullet and electric fan kit...that way, I can get a dyno-tuned House of Speed chip to tie it all together.

My current mods (at least, the ones I remember) are:
PSP filp chip
12" Powerstack
90mm mass air and intake
JDM Accufab TB
3 (or 4) pound lower pulley
2400 stall
Performance Automatics Red Racing clutches
NGK TR6s
JDM Silver Bullet (not installed yet)
JDM electric fan kit (not installed yet)
JDM oil breather cap
PSP Cal-Tracs
FRPP 1"/2" drop
Bilsteins
Silver replica 20s and BFG G-Force kdws

I don't think there's anything that I left out, but ??? What do y'all think...is it worth it? THANKS!

I am pretty sure there was a test a while back and the stock Eaton could handle up to like 20-22 psi before it finally gave way. I am also pretty sure noone on the boards has had a blower fail due to too much boost. Some guys are pushing 18# through it now with no problems.

Thumbs up

Cool. Thanks. I just remember talk earlier (when the 6#ers were introduced) about the potential to wear the bearings in the SC FAST. I don't recall having read about any problems lately, but I just wanted to make sure. I don't have as much time to look at the boards as I used to.

Don's Bolt was up there in the pounds range... before he put on the works, I think he pretty much max'ed the eaton out.
