Tuners who tune...

I understand totally about the distance for the mods. Maybe there will be a day when you can meet JDM at a FFW event or WFC and JDM can help you out. That's a hell of a drive. I thought mine was bad. I drove 28 hrs in 3 days from Chicago to Freehold. I relly thought it was worth it.

BFB,
I watched Jim make changes to my tune live. No dial up, NO canned programs.

Does he even have a dyno?

Most of the true tuning was done based on datalogging and a/f readings from street data. Which based on a recent thread about tuning on dynojets may be the better way.
To answer the second question I saw the hole for the dyno but the dyno isnt installed yet.

Clarifying...
I'm not using this to determine whose chip I'm buying or running, I was just brousing around and the question came up. Currently I run a JDM chip and it works much better than the stock computer

Different applications. I think we actually use those to test the IKOS boxes (I'm not so good on the analog test side, if the IKOS doesn't work, I point and say "fix it")

Paul's new Dyno is BAD-A$$!!!
http://www.mustangdyne.com/
One of the coolest things is that it's not a free-spinning dyno.
It actually replicates resistance, just like driving on the street!
You can accurately check 1/4 mile times on the dyno!!!
These guys at Razor's Edge aren't playing around....

I saw the hole for the dyno myself to at JDM.'s He has it in the other room just waiting to get it installed. Hes just to busy i was there last thursday from 830-830 and the phone didnt stop ringing.
DYNO COSTS
I can assure that certain companies can tune and others you wait. Most of these programs are canned and when your on the dyno a $$$$$$$ per hour waiting for a download east coast time it is an expensive proposition trust me. Not the way to go for anyone that is really doing something different and requiring special help. For stock Lightnings the canned tuner is great if you think out of ther box FOOOORGEETEIT!!!!
That's the hole.....

JJ was up there getting the Full Exhaust out on. I remember it being cold out, but the month seems to slip my mind.
Later...

I had my flip chip reburned after fast1matt and I installed the full exhaust system on my L in Houston. I watched Jim@JDM bootup his laptop and the software load. He pointed to the JDM Engineering logo when the software was finished loading. I didn't watch him do the changes because I don't like people looking over my shoulder when I'm working. I made some special request for the 2 programs (cold weather and warm weather) beside the changes for the exhaust. This was done in the middle of John Armstrong's garage on a card table. I think he said I hold the record for the most reburns, LOL.
I guess that's what happens when you do one mod at a time. It's not my fault I bought the L before most of the mods were made.
