Exhaust Question for Lightning Owners

Just wondering if the Lightning pickup has the same exhaust drone as the Supercharged Harley. I have an 02 Harley and the exhaust system really drones in the cab at 50-55 mph. Seems that the noise is worst between 1500-2000 rpm. Below 1500 and above 2000 the truck is actually fairly quiet, but the drone at 55 mph is rather annoying. Thinking of trying a Lightning muffler if it doesn't resonate at these speeds.

Is this with the stock exhaust? I dont have any drone that is excessively loud or bothering to me at any speeds. Its probably different for everyone though depending on how loud they think is too loud.

Hi Mike
Yes it is the stock exhaust system on my HD. The tone of it is quite nice except at certain speeds, when it creates an annoying drone. The worst speed is 55 mph. You actually have to turn the radio up at that speed (unless you already have it loud). I don't want to screw up the exhaust system by putting something on that is not compatible with the supercharger, but I would like to get rid of the drone. I think I need to take a Lightning for a ride.

I have no drone at all. Stock 2002

It's loudest at idle in my observation.

I'm pretty sure the Lightning and the Harley have the same muffler...
