In the door custoer versus online or on the phone customer,,,, there is a big difference. If someone has the courtesy to come into the place and check things out, thats money in the bank. Many people who email or call may never even buy the product, but almost always if someone takes the time to walk into the shop, they either have already purchased something, or will that day. Sometimes thats the way business is. Its understandable that not all of us live in new jersey and it would be a very long ride to get there, but there is lots of work to be done and it take a very large stock of goods to keep everyone happy.

If someone treats you good, you generally form a favorable opinion of that person, and visa-versa.
Its obvious that different people have had different experiences.
Whats unfortunate is if you're trying to make a decision about an unknown you generally go by word of mouth from people with experience.
Looks like theres a problem with consistency here...
Some people are willing to tie their trucks up for many months and spend 5 figures to have what they want, and some people aren't.
We're all fortunate that there are different tuners that give us options!

Thumbs down

This stuff is getting old and like high school ***** . I dont care who you tuner is who you buy parts from if you cant wait then dont mod your truck. I love it when people think that you click that little checkout button when you order online and magically the order is shipped then . There was a time and most of you know it that i had nothing good to say about JDM and swore i wouldnt order from him again. All the newbies wont know but the rest will remeber. I had ordered a T/B and didnt get it for 3 months this was back when Spiro worked there. well fast forward over a year and i had trouble with my truck. It had nothing to do with any mods was a bad ground for the PCM that was caused by an accident i was in. Almost got my warrenty vodied so i was less then eager to mod again. Fast forward a few more months my boyds finally come and thats what i was waiting for to mod the truck again.

Well i said to myself Jim has some great stuff im gonna go see him. So i e-mail him and had a few phone coversations with him and hes like no problem bring her in we will get you running. So i brought her in couldnt be more happier. Jim, Shaun, Julie everyone at JDM treated me like family. they went above and beyond anything that they had to. I got the LT headers and high flow cats to my bassani. Jim did the exhaust all custom for me like he did for Rob G since he knows that i show my truck alot. You know what he charged me for that NOTHING. I was there from 8:30 in the morning to 8:30 at night he only charged me 6 hours of labor. Then if everything i said wasnt enough and i was already more then satisfied Jim does one more thing that really blew me away. We were all done truck was tuned and ready to go. Jim was looking under the hood and was like im not gonna be able to sleep with that snout like that. So him and Shaun are like lets change it. so they took an extra hour and half and changed my snout you know what Jim charged me NOTHING. For anyone wondering my stock snout was messed up when my friend tryed putting on the upper pulley and the ***** Pulley pulling tool broke off in the bolt hole, pulley was never put on right and belt wasnt aligned. Jim didnt have to do any of that for me and especially not charge me. Jim knew who i was and he had even replyed to a thread on here to me back with the T/B. So after meeting him and seeing first hand just how much he cares makes me realize how much BS is on these boards.

To quote Don's Bolt "Jim showed his loyalty and that will not be forgotten". One thing that makes me laugh is that anyone that met Jim or any of the tuners really have an understanding of how much they love these trucks and they change their tune. I did and im glad that i did. Like i said when i wrote Jim a thank you e-mail for everything i dont only consider him a tuner but a friend now. So anyone, and take this from someone who was on both sides of the tracks, dont judge someone from what you hear because most fo the times you are wrong. I learned that. And if you cant wait for you order go ahead more parts in stock for me the next time i want something. I for one would rather wait for a quality part from any of the tuners then put a POS one on my truck.

Word of mouth is extremely important. I can understand that there might have been problems in shipping stuff out and people might have been upset. This is all i'm gonna say on this-- If you met this guy and saw JDM's shop and watched them operate, you would be very impressed. If you met him at the races and saw their booth you would be amazed. More amazed when you see Jim and his crew installing stuff at the track. JDM takes a beating on this site sometimes mostly because people just repeat what other people say and consider it truth. People should have an opinion of their own, not rely on what other people think. Lot's of gossip and b.s. on this site.

Can we get this back on topic?

JDM told Troyer that the blowers would be in in 6 weeks. He obviously had some information that led him to say this. Now, over six weeks later, you'd think he'd have a much better idea of when they are coming in...

So, has JDM updated anyone on when they are coming in?

Please refrain from getting off topic. If you don't know anything about the timing question, don't respond.

JDM Blowers

I'm sure if Jim had more control over the situation, he would have done everything in his power to have these in his shop, but obviously somone at the other end must not have their wagons in a circle.

As a buisnesman, i'm sure Jim isn't too thrilled about seeing all these new blowers popping up on trucks left and right that aren't comming from his shop. His info is only comming from another source, so he can only say what he's been told i'm sure. As soon as they are able to get them here i'm sure Jim as, well as all the customers waiting for them will be happy.

I don't understand how people take a point of view like he would be purposly screwing around to **** all of you off. If he's not selling and installing them.....someone else is and he's loosing buisness. Do you really think that he's lollygaging around as far as getting ahold of these?

So much for trying to keep this thread on topic!

Bashing eh? Please quote my bashes.

I'm not looking to waste Jim's time. I'm looking to see if anyone has talked to him lately about this. He has many loyal customers that talk to him all the time. Many of them are here. If they don't know anything, they don't know anything. If they do, I wish they'd just tell what they've heard.

I know it's allot to ask...

Ok Lurker, etc,

Looks like some posts are missing from this thread since the last time I dropped by here................

By now it's common knowledge that the 166 blowers exist, JDM was showing the blower at Bristol. They currently have 4 trucks that are having them installed that are bascially serving as teh hardware prototypes, for lack of a better term.

Currently what's going on is that they are doing work on the new manifolding. The casting for the new manifold was not done correctly and that is currently being re-done for JDM, and that's where it stands right now as of last week when I spoke with Jim.

So the work is progressing, as in most custom applications it takes long hard work to make everything come together.

Anyone else that wants to check on current status on that blower project from here on out can call JDM directly.
