ive been haveing trouble out of my L ever since i put my pulley on.the guy i bought it from said it was a 5lb. pulley. but with the trouble ive had, im begining to wonder. what size(outer lip) should a 4, 5, and 6 pound pulley be? The one i have is roughly 8.9 inches diameter along the outside lip.

 

That sounds about right for the diameter........but what kind of "trouble" are you having. A pulley should not cause any problems-------if you have a properly tuned chip to compesate with more fuel for more air??? You didn't tell us enough.

ive had my chip burnt twice for this pulley and neither burn seemed to run right. the first burn was sluggish and the truck sputtered when running around 55mph or so. on my second burn, the truck runs good at highway speed, but ive got a bad pinging at wot. i figured i might have a different size pulley than what i first thought.

 

I believe the size you measured is about the right size for a 5lb'er. Clean the contact's of the chip. If that doesnt help, consult the person who tuned your chip.
