ARG! Tuners!
Got a call today and my chip is done and being shipped to me.
Turns out I had asked for some custom work (I did) and they wanted to try out the chip before shipping it to me. They actually did multiple dyno pulls and spent a good bit of time on it.
Now that I'm not all fussy about getting it in time, I'm quite glad that he took the extra time to make sure everything was good...

I'm pretty sure they don't even have a dyno.
But, that's just what I heard from a reliable source...

It turns out your tuner was trying to do the right thing! You would have threatened his credibility if your chip was not back when you needed. I just say a person should get all the information by personal contact in person or on phone. No need to give somebody a bad rap on the internet. That as you know from earlier problems, could start a bunch of useless crap. It seems some people on this site can't wait to jag other tuners. We all have L's, and we all have choices on tuners. There is no reason to divide groups. Not saying that's happening but it could create a problem.J-mart
