Question Newbie's question

Just bought a 2002 Lightning, and can't leave anything stock...for long. Considering a 4 pound lower pulley, but doesn't that speed up all driven accessories as well as the blower? For LS1's we slow down the accessories for about a 10 hp gain.

The blower has its own belt. By changing the size of the lower pulley, will only affect the blower itself.

Well that makes me feel pretty stupid. The sad thing is that I asked it because of a local shop claiming I should buy their upper pulley so that I wouldn't be speeding up everything else. So much for trusting them. Thanks for the first lesson on my lightning.

Just in case you d/k, you will have to get a properly tuned chip if you install a 4 lb pulley. The stock programming can't supply enough fuel for tha much extra boost and you will be way too lean.
