When I installed the PSP/Factory Tech valve body, I filled the deep pan with Amsoil tranny fluid. So far nothing but smiles between shifts

It is good stuff, but Royal Purple's synerlec and additive formula is a higher grade. Either one you can't go wrong w/. Both are a major improvement over dino oil. In oil, you can get "too good", where your improvements mean nothing to the next best thing.

Yeah, and yeah.

Same difference basically on the tranny lube.

I can't answer right now. It was the only Amsoil synthetic tranny fluid that my mechanic had in his shop. The bottle said it complies with Mercon specs. There was a drain plug on the torque convertor, so it's easy to drain the whole system. Mine took 13 qts to fill, but I have heard some say 15?

Really the only way to get it all out is to have an exchange machine do it for you. Buy the fluid you want and take it to a Jiffy Lube or another type of lube service company and ask them to do it. They should charge you the normal fee, but give you slight credit since you're not using their tranny lube. Plus it's neat to watch it pull out that old stuff and push in the new

P.s. Bring yourself a new clean 5 gallon bucket so they can pour your synthetic lube into, in which to suck from. You do not want them mixing your fluid into their holding tank on their machine. This will contaminate the synthetic fluid and decrease its values.

Hope this helps!
