my muffler couldnt take it anymore last night

I went down the the track last night and I dont get it. Do heat and humidity play that big of rolls on these trucks? When it was stock back in Feburary, I ran a 13.4@104. I ran constant 13.4 and 13.5. Last night, I bring it to the track, and my best E.T. was a 13.8. And I have dont some upgraded sence then. I have a fresh filter, TR6's, synthetic oil in there and a 2 lb lower blower pully. And all I could pull off is a 13.8@99. I think my short times where about the same or better now than back in Feburary. It was about 92 with 70% relitive humitity. The night wasnt all back. I was in the water box heating up my tires and all of a sudden, I hear a loud roar. I hear it all the way down the track. I get out and look under the truck and my muffler fell off. A buddy fought it to get it off the hangers. It sounds really nice but does it have any adverse affect on our trucks. It sounds realy realy good.
