QA1 Shocks

Does anyone know the QA1 part number for the front and rear shocks for the 2000 Lightning? Is there a different part number if you a 2 inch drop in the rear?

Ron,

I guess the question you asked last week wasn't answered? You've got mail.

Yes and no on the answer. Front yes, rear somewhat after some brackets are made up. However, since they a re QA1 shocks there should a standard part number. Iwould like to do a little price shopping and not a sole source procurement.

Do you know the part numbers or should I contact QA1?

Thanks,

Ron

Did you get my email? The part numbers that I sent are the numbers all the suppliers use. Originally when I contacted QA1, they said they would be the most expensive (they want their suppliers to make money so their price to the general public is higher). And after a week of phone calls, every supplier I contacted was less expensive than QA1. I bought them from Summit, who had the best price at the time. Yet, Stan's supplier was able to get them cheaper so his price was still less expensive by about $10 (We bought them about the same time but mine were mounted first!). Then, I had to make my own mounting kit, which was a hassle and took several days of my time since I didn't have access to a machine shop that knew what I wanted (I wanted to make it as "bolt-on" as possible). After that, I told Stan what I thought was the easiest way to make the kit and he took it from there.
