Question installing electric fan

I'm gonna be installing a Flex-a-lite #270 electric fan this weekend. I have two questions on the AC signal and switched power source.

1. Can I tap into the AC signal wire next the battery where the harness goes into the firewall? If so, which wire? I figure it would be easier and cleaner.

2. And the same for the Ignition Switched power. Where did you tap into?

I like to keep it clean and professional and not wires all over the place. Thanks.

Wires...

YOu can run the wires with the main loom on the top of the engine compartment (underneath the plastic trim). It looks very professional.

I'm gonna use some flexable wire loom, but I like to keep all the wires together on the right side of the engine compartment.

Lightbulb

I tapped the ignition power source and the A/C signal from the Fuse box. I used the JDM fan install pics. I have had the FLX-270 for about 2 months. Works great, but the VSC should not be mounted on the shroud where flex-a-lite instruction suggest. After 3 weeks I had to have my VSC replaced. It just quit working. Flex-a-Lite tech suggested to move it in area that is away from radiator heat and gets a little more cooler airflow. I ended up mounting it behind passenger headlight on the bulkhead area and it works fine. Now problems and gets plenty of cooler air. Just my 2cents worth.

misunderstood...

You can run the wires to the fuse box through the plastic trim under the hood... The wires will only be loose for about 6 inches on the battery side and straight into the fuse box on the other side.
