Question Unplugging the Boost dump

I'm about to go try and unplug my boost dump ..I just wanted to know before I did this if it were any downfalls to doing this? Is it harmful in anyway to the PCM or engine? Also I want to know if you guys are only unplugging the boost dump for the track only or for daily driving also? I'm a daily driver and was just curious to know is this in anyway safe??

Anyone got a donut

Just to be PC.......I was not trying to offend any of the real life cops on the boards (i.e. slapshot)

I hate having to clarify every word I say not so noone is offended by ANYTHING that is said or can be taken out of text.

OK I am off my soapbox (no pun intended)

It was one of my first mods--31,000 miles ago. No problems daily driving or racin'.

You can purchase the parts to make your own boost bypass @ Autozone for 5.00 instead of setting a soft code by unplugging the solenoid.

mike: It is done to save us from 'embarrassment' at the track or at the stop light. You don't want to have had the boost dumped(doing a burnout for instance) just prior to launching--you will run a 15 second 1/4 instead of a 13 second....................
