Talking For those who don't know....

...performance sucks at 112 degrees! I was stuck on the highway yesterday because of a bad wreck. So as I was sittin there I glanced up at the outside temp gauge and it said 107....I kept watching it and it crept all the way up to 112! This was even after I was driving around a suburb for about 5 min. Finally dropped under 100 after I got back on the highway goin 80mph...I know Texas heat is bad but any other states have heat like this? Whats the most you've seen your gauge read while it's parked and while you're driving?

Parked - 135
Driving - 112

Yes, Florida has been pretty damn hot also. Several days of the last 2 weeks, the gauge has read 104-112°. That is only when it isn't frickin raining!

We got up to 38C last week here in Toronto and I think thats about 100F. The difference is up here its a humid jungle type heat. And Yes performace really sucks at that temp, my beast was just chugging along.....

The heat here in Phoenix is fuggin awful. I've seen upwards of 127 on the gauge parked in my covered garage. 117 driving around has been normal. Definite performance loss.

When I was driving back home the other week mine was up to 106, and that was when I had the cruise on 100!! it had to have been a little hotter if I were to have stopped. This was up in Montana.

121 parked in garage. Sorta dont know what to do, it get so hot in the garage w/ the truck in there after driving it that i want to leave it outside in the driveway so it doesnt heat up the garage, but dont want a black truck sittin in the 107 degree sun if it doesnt need to. So it just sits in the 121 degree garage, but at least its in the shade.

121 parked in shade
107 driving

Wouldn't it be cool if they programmed it to say "HELL" after a certain temperature??? It'd be the same as when it's really cold and it flashes "ICE"

You mean to tell me that high temps and humidity hurt the L's performance? Hmm!

Its funny you say that because I was just thinkin about that. My 98 expy with a 4.6 is a real dog in hot weather. I have to floor it almost everytime I accelerate in order to move. Temp make a very big difference in performance. I live in northern Canada (around Alaska) and in the winter, man oh man (-40F), that thing really accelerates (compared to what it is in very hot weather). Its like I installed a blower. I would love to see an L do the quarter mile in that weather, to bad for all of the snow.
