Unhappy Bad News!

Well I was getting ready to leave for NV to do 2 weeks of open road stuff.and started the truck up and felt a slight miss. Then I remembered feeling it at the turn around in Wendover.[forgot about it]So I decided I better ck it out.Well I burnt #4 piston or broke the rings 75 lbs of compression. So the parts are ordered and the hd is almost off.should have it running by Friday.
And before anyone asks NO it was not caused by the chip.I was running over 150 on 7 cyl.!!I feel that it was caused by running in excess of 14 hrs at WOT, plus awhole lot of open track stuff.Stan

Sorry about your problem, Stan ... I think the constant
WOT stuff will kill the weakest part ... in our trucks, seems
to be the plugs/rings/rods ...

Stan,
Were you still running stock pistons and rods? What are you going back with?

Do I see titanium connecting rods in your future???

While you are att how about titanium pistons, heads, and why not a block. That would be cool.
